I almost pulled the blog down. Somebody I know from another part of my life online threatened to “ruin me in real life” and one of the only things I could think about that was capable of affecting my career or whatever in real life was this blog.
Naturally, this is making me think of the nature of blogging, and being closeted and kinky vs. the risks of exposure, which I’ll blog about tomorrow. But for now, the site’s back up and I believe everything’s kosher.

Hey — so sorry to hear this — people are idiots and, worse, often quite destructive, damaging idiots. I hope things settle down and you are able to continue this blog, as well as go on with your life as you should be able to do, without threats….

One just shakes their head and wonders what drives a very small segment of society. I hope this can be resolved, I enjoy your blog and would miss it.

Hey-protecting your family is far more important than letting the world into your private life. ONE LIFE-TAKE TWO recently became an invitation only site, and while I miss Jefferson’s adventures, it was his call.
The disconnectedness of the internet lets people do some scary things.
How’s the hose-buying coming?

I can understand your concern. Unless you have a decent amount of power in your work situation, tendencies like ours, if completely public, doesn’t lend itself to career prosperity.

I hope this person realizes that this is resolved easily. I honestly enjoy reading your blog and I do not want it to disappear like many others.

I am so sorry you were threatened in such a personal way, that has to make you (understandably) stressed out.
If it would help I would be glad to take a whip, the long, thin, hardened leather kind with small beads attached at the end of the each tail and introduce sadism to whoever threatened you. *smile smile*
I hope all is well for you and your family.

Come back (if you can), Bootsy. We miss ya.

Like the others who’ve commented before me, I understand if you have to shut the blog down, but I will miss you. I’ve enjoyed the glimpse into your private life and I’m sorry you’re having to deal with a mean-spirited jerk who threatened you like that. The person is obviously an asshole, but I understand the blog and its contents (even though it’s your private business) could cause some serious problems for you in your life. *hugs*

Hope you feel safe to continue. Your character (as much as can be known through your blog) and the previous comments just confirm my conviction that kinksters are some of the nicest, stand-up people you could hope to meet.

I keep checking to see if you have come back.
I am saddened that you haven’t but I do understand that life sometimes takes a detouring turn.
I hope you and your family are safe, well and happy.
I also hope you come back to share yourself with us.

I hope that you will continue. I am still reading your old posts trying to catch up with the latest.
Just finished reading January 17 and 19, 2008. You are very eloquent in expressing your feelings. I can see myself in all of what you say. I, too, don’t have any use for the archetypal female sadist with the costume, unless my wife wants it and it turns her on.
I can, and have, put myself in a fantasy situation with gender reversal. The classic, “Story of O” was a great turn on for me, because I imagined myself to be in her place.
I hope that you will return to posting.
Best wishes to you!
